Thank you for so many wonderful years!

Do you remember where you were the first time you savoured a Flourless Chocolate cake? Or enjoyed a Scone with its tender crumb, or a brownie? I do. 
I remember all these flavours, textures that came from ideas dancing in and out of my head for years. I have dreamt about food, how wonderful it can be. How creative I can be with it. And to this day I am always amazed how much enjoyment food brings. How so many moments are centered around food. We all share these food moments and I believe it is so important to our own personal history.
I have been so fortunate to share my passion for food with the Louisville community for the past 10 years. I have been lucky enough to make sweets for birthdays, baptisms, engagements, prom invites, anniversaries, pets birthdays, “just because” moments and so many other occasions. It is truly amazing that Cake Flour has been a part of so many people’s memories, their photo collections, and their family traditions. 
I get great enjoyment from thinking of ideas, combining different flavours, creating, using challenging techniques, making things from scratch and teaching others the knowledge that I have. I love using my own hands to create; it is a dying art in a world where everything is so instant. And I will continue to do that.
So it is bittersweet that I am announcing that I will be closing the current location of Cake Flour at the end of the month. I am making the decision to spend more time with my family; we are very excited that we will have more time together.
